Training Portal Pro Tip #8: Keep Your Email Address Current in the Training Portal
If your agency or tribe has changed your email address, or if your email address changes for any other reason (eg. new job), be sure to update your Training Portal profile to include your new email address.
If
this applies to you, follow the steps here. Changing your email address in the Training Portal involves two steps that must be done in this order.
Login to your University of Minnesota Guest email account, and select Modify Guest Account, where you can update your email address.
Then, submit the Help & Support form to our tech staff, who will change your email in the Training Portal. Be sure to select the option for “Update Email.” This
change will likely take a day or two, and you will not have access to your profile during this time so please plan accordingly. Our tech staff will notify you once your account is updated and accessible again.
It may be tempting to just request a new profile, but having multiple accounts will cause you to lose access to part or all of your training record. If you believe you have multiple profiles, complete the Help & Support form here.
Retiring or In-Between Jobs? You can follow the process above using a personal email account. Then update your profile later if you find a different position.
