Pro Tip #3: How to confirm your course registration notifications
Are you receiving notification reminders for your courses? Courses offered through our Training Portal are built in an application called Canvas. When you register for our courses, we will email you several times before the start of class to confirm you still plan to attend.
The default settings for your account should provide you with immediate notifications, but if you think you may have accidentally changed your settings, visit canvas.umn.edu, select Account, and then Notifications. Under Course Activities, look for Announcement. The icon to the right of that should be set for Notify Immediately. For a complete overview of how to update your settings, visit here. You should also check your SPAM folder to see if our emails are accidentally going there.
