2025 Permanency & Child Welfare Fall Conference

This dynamic two-day conference, offered by the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare, will unite child welfare professionals and advocates in a shared mission: to deepen their expertise and sharpen their strategies for addressing the diverse and often competing needs of children, youth, and families. October 14-15 at the Radisson Blu Mall of America. Learn more and register here. For learners in Greater Minnesota who will travel more than 75 miles to attend, stipends are still available.

Culturally Affirming Practice to Support Prevention

CASCW is hosting this new webinar event, brought to you in partnership with the Promotion and Prevention Unit in the Child Safety and Permanency Administration at the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth, and Families. This webinar will demonstrate the importance of culture as a foundation to building child and family wellbeing, including resilience and community connection. Thursday, August 28 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. CST

Clarifying My Core Values Cards

Identifying our core values can help to provide a sense of direction, purpose, and motivation. This is particularly important during times of stress, change, and loss. This new card activity brought to you by CASCW and the Center for Practice Transformation is intended to inspire a deeper connection to your innermost core values. It can be a conversation, a reflection, or both! Fill out this quick form, or email CASCW@umn.edu today.
